Drum Loops and Full Length Beats

A Groove Rock hi hat roll and straight kick and snare beat. This beat starts out with a straight forward snare on 2 & 4, Kick on 1 & 3 type of beat along with some syncopated open hi hat and closed rolls to liven it up a bit. There’s quite a bit of variation including ghost note snare rolls, changing hi hat patterns and tom fills. About ¾ of the way through I play a tom pattern that can be used for a bridge. Finally I return to a similar feel to the beginning beat, this time a bit more sparse on the hi hat, but just as syncopated as before.

Part Metal part Jazz, this beat starts out with a quarter note closed hi hat and double bass pattern. The dynamics pick up with a double time beat then back to the quarter note pattern and again back to the double time beat. I bring it way down for the bridge section with a cross stick/rim click while keeping the double kick going. There’s also some dynamic variation in the bridge as I switch between cross stick and snare as the energy builds and returns to the original beat to wrap things up.
